Thanks, Eli– Yes, I like to spend some time with the other characters, too. They do have roles to play in Mercy’s on-going “journey” and it’s important not to loose track of them. Plus, I try to make them interesting characters in their own right. As you said, it can be tricky to fold those other threads smoothly into the main story, but I do my best! Part of the balancing act of long-form storytelling.
