Is it just me or does Molly’s expression more of remorse than, ‘Thank goodness we got out of there!’?

Well, “remorse” was not what I was going for. Molly’s a pretty grounded woman. I had intended her to convey that she’s accepting what’s unfolding and “maintaining an even strain”, as the test pilots would say. Sorry if it missed the mark for you.

I feel better about liking Quigg. After his betrayal I was disappointed in myself for feeling the guy was pretty cool. 🙂

Basically it seems like a Lando/Han/Wader kind of situation… Initially at least he may have thought he had no choice. And then spend the time trying to find a better solution.

Of course he might still betray them again – if he has made another deal after the people decided they couldn’t break Mercy. Surprised they didn’t threaten Molly.

Her Olivia? Is it referring to her friend, girlfriend, sister,…??

I wanted to leave it to the readers to connect those dots for themselves, at least for the moment. My own thinking is that it’s the closeness and intimacy of Mercy and Molly’s relationship that Quigg is responding to. Beyond that, the specifics felt less important to this story moment.

I immediately took it to mean that Olivia was his daughter’s SO as in, lesbian relationship. Rarely, if ever, referring to someone in that way is meant as a non-intimate relationship. In fact, it almost always implies a mutually exclusive intimate relationship.

Thanks, “Slam” (may I call you “Slam”?)That is indeed the intention I had when I wrote the line. 🙂
