Aw, Pell is a cool guy! Happy to see that this is not going to end in unnecessary drama ’cause he has a brain and knows to use it. I believe him fully if he says he’s happy for the two. Rare trait, sadly.
Also: yay for Scuf!
Thanks, Corbie. Yeah– Mercy is sure to have plenty of jerks and antagonists in her future– that’s the nature of the business, and of the series. But there will be a few stand-up people along the way as well. This series is never going to turn into one of those where everything that happens just makes the characters (and the readers) more miserable. That stuff can be compelling for a while, but I find that those tricks eventually get old, feel cheap and formulaic, and ultimately leave me feeling manipulated and unsatisfied. With Trekker, I’m going to try to cleave to the middle way. There’s be good news and bad news, genuine joys, genuine sorrows– if I can pull them off! And, we’ll always have Scuf 🙂
Aw I was kinda expecting this page to be molly bringing mercy breakfast space-waffles in bed or something.
Well, that woulda been another way to go 🙂 I do enjoy the scenes with these two, so that “waffle moment” might be in our future….
