Nice to see Jekka again. I did not recongise her at first, she seem to have grown up a bit since we met her in the “Rites of Passage”. Makes me wonder how much time has passed between these two chapters.
(Based on an earlier intermezzo with shipbuilding, I thought at least a few months, but now I am not sure)
Does the time runs the same at all locations in Trekker universe?
You ask a terrific question Honza dX. I keep things “loose” on this (and some other) points in the series– about distances, time laps, etc. I shy away from letting too many details bog things down or get in the way of the fun and engaging tale that I’ve set Trekker up to be. Though I do try to not violate any of the “rules” (such as they are) that I have established. But in general, yeah space is, you know REALLY big. and crossing vast expanses takes time. Luckily, in this future, so does aging. It’s at least somewhat slowed by advances in health, nutrition, that sort of thing. So– time has passed, Jekka has grown some. But the adults seem to ages more slowly.
