Scuf gets away but is wounded, gets home and is able to lead Mercy to her Soul Mate and is also captured. The Evil Empires agents find our Ladies and purchase them, or wipe out Tribe and take them.
Well, while recent events have certainly brought a somewhat higher “romance” flavor to the proceedings here in general, I promise to try to stay clear of veering us completely into Harlequin paperback territory of at all possible. As you say, they already have that ground covered pretty thoroughly.
Don’t think romance is a possibility, M&M are fairly cojoined at the hip and other places as well. Harlequin is soft porn for teenagers and below. I’ll stick with a combination of options one and two both. Give Mercy the chance to remove a few more of the Evil Empires minions. They really need to up their game in recruiting henchmen, possibly better Health Ins, a 401K, intelligence screening to remove congenital idiots.
