So much one could say about this page. Mercy’s… outre fashion sense… the slightly opportunistic subtext that I was trying to convey in her neighbor’s attentive interplay… the pacing and blocking out of the action of the page, which I attribute to sensibilities instilled in me through my work under Joe Kubert. In the end, I hope what carries through for the reader is the drive to see what happens next: the goal of any real storyteller.
