Well, don’t recall anyone saying it was physically armored, and if it has energy shielding they might not have gotten it powered up yet

Ha ha, Thanks, Simmons, I’m gonna go with that as my plausible dodge for this one šŸ™‚ Seriously, how fast the ship is taking off, how far it has risen, etc, are pretty open to interpretation in the image, it seems to me. Regardless, I do hope most readers will be willing to go with the moment whether they feel it holds up under rigorous scientific scrutiny or not. But that, of course, is rightly left up to each reader to decide for themselves.

Okay, this is where my suspension of disbelief snaps. You’re trying to tell me that this freshly-augemented creature was able to throw a rock straight upwards, against gravity, with enough force (combination of mass and velocity) to do THAT kind of damage to armored combat STARSHIP HULL?! Were talking thousands (mach 2 plus) if not tens of thousands of miles per hour. Assuming he can even throw that fast, his arm would have ripped out of its socket! That’s not just a super man, that is on par with the Kryptonian schoolboy or the big green mean guy! Cartoon physics, not sci-fi technobabble physics!

Sorry that I stretched the credibility line to far for you here, Rexhinalt. I try to keep things as “believable” as I can. Certainly don’t hit the mark al the time. Whenever it distracts and pulls the reader out of the story, I’ve made a misstep. Again, sorry if it detracts from your enjoyment of the tale. I’ll try to be more careful next time šŸ™‚
