Looks like we have an over abundance of engineer trainees available and a very limited number of slots. Granted the presumed native would be better muscle, and probably less apt to be caught shoplifting at native markets off planet than Chuckles, however at least I suppose the “witch” is able to read, write and do basic math in Standard. All in all if training time and tapes are available and the “Evil Empire” doesn’t rear their ugly unintelligent heads the Native would probably be the best. I’m a sucker for plot twists but I have a feeling you are gonna tell us heretofore there were no known Indigenous Peoples around, our all were supposed to have died off in the Epizootie Plague many years ago. Our erstwhile “witch” is gonna end up serving some hard time to stay alive.
