I really like how you are drawing this guy. However, I did notice the two panels with his mouth closed and the word balloons indicating talking. Just thought I’d point that out.
Thanks, Mikey. I doubt I’ll change that approach with the Sheriff. I could point you to hundreds of examples– many from some of my favorite artists including legends like Joe Kubert and Al Williamson– where tight-mouthed heroes have dialog coming from their closed mouths. Sorry if it’s a distraction for you, but it’s a pretty well-established comcis convention that’s too close to my heart to completely jettison ,I’m afraid!
